Stories of Healing and Renewal

Hear from women who found the supportive care they needed after feeling dismissed or discouraged elsewhere.

“I am so grateful for the amazing work of Dr. Valerie! Her attention to detail and care has helped me develop exercises for my hip mobility and strength. As a former dancer and current Lagree instructor, it is so important for me to understand my body mechanics. Her work has helped me to go about my day and also teach clients to develop their own body awareness. She’s done an amazing workshop for our studio and provided me with one-on-one care that I’m so grateful for.”

“I can't say enough good things about Valerie Levesque! After breaking my ankle, I was determined to get back to the activities I love—roller derby and kickboxing. From the very first session, Valerie not only understood my goals but was just as invested in getting me there as I was. The treatment plan was tailored perfectly to my needs, balancing strength, mobility, and stability. Thanks to Valerie, I feel stronger, more confident, and closer to fully returning to the sports I love. If you're looking for a therapist who truly cares about your goals and will help you achieve them, I can't recommend Valerie Levesque enough!”

“Valerie was able to get me in on a moment’s notice to help rehab my sprained ankle I got from falling on the ice. I had a 12 Hr shift as a nurse the next day and was so anxious about how painful it would be to be on my feet for that long with an injury. My ankle was less swollen and painful immediately after our session, but also felt strong and not very painful during my shift the next day! She is so awesome, holistic and intelligent! Boise area is lucky to have her.”

Hello, I'm Valerie!

I’ve been a physical therapist for the past 10 years, working mostly with orthopedic conditions. I’m one of the small group of PTs—just 1%—who’ve gone through Fellowship training in orthopedic manual therapy, which has really shaped how I approach care.

Before I was a PT, I was a competitive figure skater, and that background is a big part of why I love working with aesthetic athletes and those navigating hypermobility spectrum disorders. I’ve also had my own journey through hip dysplasia and hip preservation surgery at age 26, so injury prevention and patient education are really personal passions of mine.

Becoming a mom to two little boys has opened up a whole new chapter for me. I’ve developed a deep purpose around supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum. I truly believe that keeping your body strong and supported during pregnancy can make all the difference in birth experiences and recovery—and that having someone to walk with you through the postpartum and return-to-fitness journey can spare you a lot of unnecessary pain and frustration.

I studied Exercise and Sport Science at Oregon State University and earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York Medical College. Later, I completed post-doctorate training through the Ola Grimsby Institute, which led me to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapists.

A few fun things about me:
I was born in a dry cabin in rural Alaska and have since lived in Oregon, NYC, Seattle, and now Boise. My boys keep me laughing and constantly moving with their endless energy. I love yoga, pilates, and barre, and you can usually find me with a cashew milk latte in hand. Collaborating with friends, supporting other moms, and camping with my family are just a few of the things that light me up.
